So… what is The Conahan Experience, you may ask?

Simply put, sharing my adventures—which are carefully sought out to provide unique, distinguished experiences.  The hope is that you will be entertained and perhaps inspire you to seek out similar adventures of your own. 

Different than a typical travel outlet, I am not a travel expert as so many profess to be.  My goal is not to teach you how to travel.  I will not tell you how to obtain the cheapest flights, nor how to secure amazing deals on a hotel room.  There are so many wonderful destinations: I can’t even begin to tell you which ones are the best.  I am unable to list top attractions, hotels, restaurants, etc. in any particular city.  This is to be left to the experts. 

The Conahan Experience:  Whether on vacation or locally exploring (locally for myself refers to the Philadelphia/Atlantic City part of the world), I am always seeking out unique experiences.  Enjoying a cocktail in a speakeasy, for instance, will prove considerately more memorable than one at a local tavern.  When given the choice between driving or flying, the choice is easy—train!  Sometimes the journey is a destination in itself.  And a hotel is not just a place to stay, at least not in my book.  Spend a few nights in a Rittenhouse mansion style boutique hotel in Philly, and I assure you it will be one of the highlights of your stay.  Should you find yourself dining in an old classical revival style bank converted into a restaurant, you will surely discover the meaning of an enhanced dining experience.    

This is what The Conahan Experience is about.  It’s the constant desire to explore life’s joys in a manner that will leave us with these distinguished experiences.  It’s not necessarily where you go or what you do, rather the manner in which it is done.  I carefully plan my adventures, searching for the perfect destinations that I consider unique.  I’ve been told I find the coolest places and frequently asked how I discover these destinations.  That’s often a tough question to answer, but I’m happy to share my experiences.  This has inspired me to create this site.

The intention of The Conahan Experience:

To chronicle my adventures and share unique experiences that may otherwise go unthought of.  As I mentioned earlier – not being an expert – I will never persuade or dissuade a visit to a particular destination.  My decision to like or dislike something should have no bearing on how you feel about it.  I will naturally provide feedback and express my opinions, however, I will never assume you will enjoy something because I did, or vise versa.  What might be fascinating for one person may not be fascinating for another.  I don’t believe I should make that determination for you. 

I like to think I’m simply providing ideas.  My hope is that you will find a list of possibilities; potential adventures of your own.  My intent is to seek out unique adventures and showcase them in a manner in which you can determine if these adventures are worthwhile.  Hopefully you will endeavor on some of these journeys for yourself.  Perhaps it will inspire you to seek out similar destinations of your own.  At the very least, I hope you will find entertainment as you follow my journey.  Thank you for being part of The Conahan Experience!
